About BioWellix
BioWellix is an independent health publication. We read the research, say plainly what it does and does not support, and put a clinician's name on the articles that have been checked. There is no company behind it — one person, a review board, and a bias against hype.

Why this site exists
A great deal of health writing on the internet is built to rank rather than to inform. It hedges where the evidence is strong, sounds certain where the evidence is thin, and rarely tells you which of the two you are reading. The result is a genre that is easy to find and hard to act on.
BioWellix exists to do the less profitable thing: report what the research actually found, name the studies, and be explicit about how much confidence they support. Sometimes that means a long answer. Often it means saying that a popular supplement has not been shown to do the thing it is sold for.
None of it is a substitute for a clinician who can examine you. What it can do is make you better prepared for that conversation — and harder to sell to in the meantime.
How we work
We cite what we claim
Articles carry a reference list of the studies, guidelines and health bodies they draw on, so you can check our reading against the source instead of taking our word for it.
We separate evidence from opinion
Where trials agree, we say so. Where the evidence is weak, contested, or rests on a mechanism nobody has tested in people, we say that in the same breath as the claim — not in a footnote.
Clinicians review the medical content
An article carrying a reviewer's name has been read by a qualified clinician who checked that it fairly represents current evidence. An article without one has not, and never pretends otherwise.
We date everything
Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated, because evidence moves and an undated page cannot be judged for freshness.
Advertising never touches editorial
The site is paid for by advertising served automatically by Google. We do not choose the adverts, we do not vet the products in them, and no advertiser has any say over what we publish.
We correct in public
When we get something wrong we fix the article and move its updated date rather than editing it quietly. Corrections to health content are treated as urgent.
Who writes this
BioWellix is written and run by one person. It is not a media group, it has no investors, and there is no newsroom — worth stating plainly, because a lot of sites in this niche work hard to imply the opposite.
That independence is the point of the whole exercise. It also has a limit: one person cannot be expert in every field, which is why the medical accuracy of what gets published does not rest on the writer alone.
Who checks it
Medical content is reviewed by clinicians practising in the relevant field. A reviewer reads the finished article, checks it against current evidence and guidelines, and their name and credentials go on the page — a signature, not a badge.
Review is quality control on the writing. It is not care, it creates no relationship between you and the reviewer, and it does not mean the reviewer has assessed you. The medical disclaimer sets out exactly where that line sits.
How this is paid for
Advertising, and nothing else. There is no paywall, no account to create, and no charge to read anything here.
Adverts are selected automatically by Google from the page and, where you have consented to it, your browsing. We do not pick them and we do not check the products in them, so an advert beside an article is not an endorsement of anything.
What we will not do
We will not answer personal medical questions. If you write to us describing symptoms, the only responsible answer available to us is to tell you to see a clinician, and that is the answer you will get.
We will not tell you to start, stop or change a medication or supplement, and we do not recommend brands. We will not publish a claim we cannot point to evidence for, however well it would perform in search.
The board is named in full on the medical review board page, along with what a review does and does not cover. The medical disclaimer is the one page here worth reading before you act on anything.
Get in touch — corrections first, everything else after.
